The Auto File Director (AFD)
With the ability to process tens of thousands of files daily, the AFD is a set of always-running Momentum Windows services with a command and action-enabled dashboard application, the AFD Administrator.
The AFD detects the presence of a newly arrived file and identifies the file based upon either the file name, data within the file contents, or through other means. Once successful, the identified file is processed based upon pre-selected work steps created in the AFD administrator.
High Availability Load Balancing AFD (HALB)
HALB allows you to install up to ten AFD server products on separate computers, increasing throughput and high availability. Those multiple AFD Servers will share the processing of the incoming files and report their history to a single AFD database, so that anyone using the AFD Administrator application can see the work from all computers on one screen.
Secure Auto SSH
Secure Auto SSH enables you to simultaneously retrieve files from multiple SSH (SFTP) servers at configurable polling intervals. If you also have the Auto File Director (AFD), successfully retrieved files can be processed based on work steps that you define.
Secure Auto FTP
Secure Auto FTP enables you to simultaneously retrieve files from multiple standard FTP and FTP SSL (FTPS) servers at configurable polling intervals. If you also have the Auto File Director (AFD), successfully retrieved files can be processed based on work steps that you define.
Secure Web File Transfer (SWFT)
Secure Web File Transfer (SWFT) supports secure file transfers over the internet through an HTTPS enabled configurable website.
SSH Server Software
SSH Server software is a program that uses secure shell protocol to accept connections from remote computers. This protocol allows for the secure exchange of data between two computers over an unsecure or untrusted network.
AFD Server Selector
The AFD Server Selector provides the capability to run one or more AFD Administrator applications simultaneously from a single workstation.
At installation, the AFD administrator is configured to connect to one AFD Server and one database. You may want the ability to connect to a second AFD Server and database, or even a third or fourth-- the AFD Server Selector responds to this problem, and is included with your purchase of the AFD HALB.
Automated Clearing House (ACH)
The ACH software suite performs commonly needed and useful functions that you typically automate with the Auto File Director. These functions include:
- Verifying that the ACH file is in balance and formatted correctly
- Combining many individual ACH files into one correctly formatted, large ACH file
- Splitting a large ACH file containing many institutions into individual correctly formatted ACH files, one for each institution
- Creating summary reports for any ACH files
Directory Watchdog
Included with any AFD purchase, the Directory Watchdog is an always-running Momentum Windows Service that allows for the automatic deletion of older log files, or any files, for which you no longer have use.
It may be configured to monitor 250 folders, allowing you to keep files for up to two years before automatic deletion. Each of the 250 folders may be assigned a different ageing period.
File Mapper
Included with any AFD purchase, the File Mapper is an always-running Momentum Windows service that allows you to rename or move files from one specified path to another.
Prior to renaming or moving a file, the File Mapper checks to determine whether or not the file is currently in use. This guarantees that no file will be renamed or moved while currently being accessed by a different process.
